Hiding Blemishes

a poem by CA Craig

Lipstick smears on windows

hiding blemishes from last night’s row.

The steamboats waddle over waves

coughing with pain and regret.

A captain makes scared

fearful of underlays,

while arousal screams out

again and again

through broken teeth of shame

“Where is your god now?”

And the crows answer back with silence.
