There is a sexuality, sensuality, spirituality

in following the lifelines of your palms.

When lifelines touch do we find in intersection,

a joining of paths? Do we converge?

Is there communion without consummation?

Can we find unity in something deeper?

There is a fragility to intimacy

that perhaps my words may never tell.

Will my voice allow the same vulnerability

found in the friction of fingertips?

Remember that Beatles song?

It plays in my heart,

but my tongue will not betray me.

Yet perhaps in that request I may find you in a way

I never found you before

and perhaps you may hear the words

lodged in my chest

for fear

of being
