Scattered Water

a rather silly poem on the beginning of things
by me
The sun shined on the water's surface
assured of its warmth and its worth it
reached down and touched the sea
just to see if the waves would be friendly.
The water, then still covered the earth
the dirt below was yet to be birthed.
If dry ground existed, it was little to none
it seemed to the sun that the waters were one.
The water now smiled up to the star
sitting afar, its rays waving like arms.
The sea responded in dances with waves,
inspired, it flaunted and acted so brave.
So the water scattered and pooled, revealing the earth
and seeing it flattered the sun with the dirt,
it decided it best to share its space,
and now we have land all over the place.
