Here's a poem:

victory

by CA Craig

as blood starts pumping

the heart warms up from a night’s cold

but it wants to sit back

and avoid the words that were said

last night, when the cut was made

when plans were made

and goals headed toward a broken line

it’s the pill you take

too hard to swallow

the hubris felt will gouge out the eyes

the fates have caught the red handed lovers

and no comes sailing back

when theyre locked in the chamber

of a revolving door

anticipating the thrill of a misfire

exploding from shells

and wounds from the spine

to follow down

the grounding was lost

when the voice was heard

and defeat was declared

as the victor there
